Celebrating God in Creation

‘Contemporary Worship’ on Sunday 4th May will be held outdoors!  Truly a ‘Prom’ of Praise as we explore God revealed in creation.  Meet at Papplewick & Linby Village hall for a 10.45 am start.

 

Circuit Welcoming Service

A special service will be held at Bestwood Park church on Wednesday May 7th to welcome Mrs Stella Tyers to the new post of Pioneer Missioner & Evangelist  in our circuit.  A former primary school teacher and a dietician, Stella has more recently spent time in Swaziland as a mission partner.  

 

Pentecost Praise

‘Churches together’ in Hucknall, Linby and Papplewick (CTHLP) celebrate the church’s birthday at Pentecost,  when God poured out the ‘Holy Spirit’ to bless the followers of Christ with a united service at St. John’s Church, Nottingham Road, Hucknall starting at 6.30 pm.

 

Hope 08

CTHLP are organising another  prayer breakfast on May 10th at Watnall Road Community Centre as part of Hucknall’s response to the national ‘Hope 08’ campaign - ‘Do More, Do It Together. Do it in Prayer, Word and Action’.

 

Christian Aid Week

Please give generously to the house-to-house collection from May 11th to 17th.

 

Aldersgate Sunday

Aldersgate Sunday on 18 May commemorates the reneal experience of John Wesley when he felt his ‘heart was strangely warmed’. It provides an opportunity to give thanks to God for the work of the Wesley Brothers and for the people called Methodist.
